We like this restaurant.  It's always clean and gives out a good vibe with good seating and customer service.  We always order lunch with salads, pasta, salmon, and grilled chicken.  Once a while, we like to order pies for several occasions, and they are so yummy and delicious.  Food is also satisfactory; it may take a while for our orders to be ready, but we are not in a hurry, and the servers always check up on us and give us big smiles.  They make us like to come back!

As a non-CA native, I've always wanted to check out this chain to see what it's all about. It was mediocre at best.

First, THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT DOES NOT CARRY PEANUT BUTTER!!! How can a place that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bakery items not have PB?! I wanted some for my pancakes and thought the waiter was joking with me at first when he told me they don't have PB. He wasn't.

Second, the portions are smaller here than other down home breakfast-type places. For the exact same price, you can get almost double the food at places like Tam's, Broken Yoke, and Flappy Jack's.

I got the Mediterranean omelet. It came with my choice of potatoes, hash browns, or fresh fruit, and pancakes, a muffin, or an English muffin. I got the potatoes and pancakes.

The potatoes legit seemed like they were dumped from a previously-frozen bag and barely cooked. Not good.

The only reason I'm not giving this place lower stars was because of the pancakes. Were they big or extra fluffy? No. However, they had a particularly sweet taste. Idk if that was from the cakes themselves or the syrup, but whatever it was, made that part of the meal pretty good.

Probably won't be back. Cost us $30+ tip for 2 breakfasts and 1 coffee. Nothing special at all.

Major downgrade. I was hot, tired and thirsty, so stopped here for an iced tea and a salad. I waited and I waited and I waited. No waitress. No iced tea. No excuse either, because they didn't appear busy. I left and went somewhere else. Too many other choices.

Coco's didn't have our pie order this evening. I asked if I could order one for tomorrow to come back and I was informed that they weren't taking any other orders for Christmas so I was out of luck. They didn't offer me any other options, not even with a sugar-free order which was placed on the phone. The staff seemed careless and uncooperative. No pie for us! :(
